Taping - Anklelock - outside
The foot is held in an angle of 90 degrees compared to
the lower leg while taping. (The same position if the person is standing): First 1 or 2 anchors are placed around the lower leg. The anchor must not be too close to the ankle joint - 15-20 centimeters distance would be fine. Take care not to wind the tape so tight that it stops the bloodstream. |
Next the taping starts from the outside of the lower leg. The tape is fastened on the anchor and is led diagonally over the wrist of the foot - | and down to the Achilles' tendon |

Then around on the inside of the heel. | At last the tape is pulled under the heel and up to the anchor on the outside of the lower leg. | As a finish a new anchor is placed over the old one in order to keep the taping in place. |
