Center cross/Trailer (Also called East German)
The system can be used in the same way against a 5:1 defense, and a
good basic rule is, that the backcourt and wing player runs parallel
each time CB opens up for a center cross. It opens for more variations.
Here is the most simple form of the Trailer. CB has 2 options. She
can pass to LB or LW, who both can shoot with a jump shot in front of
the screening. The pass from LW can go directly to CB. It gives a
different rhythm in the play and LW must take care not to run in too
"flat"
In this example the play is this: CB receives the ball
and runs against the defending R2 and sets a screening. During this
run CB pass the ball to the running in LB LB runs parallel with LW
LB shoots.
