While the attackers are playing basic the wing sneaks forward and on the right moment runs forward and takes the ball on its way to the backcourt player.
The trap works because the attackers have their focus on the logical defender and not on the others.
If the attacking players uses hard, flat balls it will not be so easy to conquer the ball.

When the wing runs out, the defending backcourt player moves against the attacking wing in case CB sees the trap and pass the ball to the wing.
If the wing fails to conquer the ball it is up to the defending backcourt player to defend.
