9-METER THROW

Normally a 9-meter throw is performed in this way: The Circle runner moves to the 9-meter throw line and throws the ball to a teammate. That's it. Very seldom the defense takes a nap and the Circle Runner can turn, face the goal and shoot.

However there are means to improve the 9-meter throw and create a fair chance to score in these situations if the team knows what to do and the defense is not up to it's best.

This section contains examples of agreements in connection with the 9-meter throw. Common for all examples is that the backward moving players don't rush into the defenders and by that performs a screening/attack fault.
